My name is Athar and I am a Family Law Specialist certified by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization.

I started practicing law in 2008 as an intellectual property lawyer. In 2012, my legal career took an unexpected turn when I found myself navigating the complex family court system following a divorce. It was then that I realized the importance of having real courtroom experience as a lawyer. I decided to volunteer at the City Attorney of Los Angeles, where I gained invaluable experience representing the People of the State of California in court on a daily basis, handling court appearances and jury trials by myself. I then took my newfound courtroom skills and immersed myself in family law by volunteering at the Legal Aid Society of Orange County.

In 2015, I officially launched my family law practice and have been helping clients navigate the difficult and emotional terrain of family law ever since. I take pride in being there for my clients, not only as their lawyer, but also as a compassionate and understanding advocate during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

My experience in family law has allowed me to help clients with a wide range of legal issues, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division, and domestic violence restraining orders. I understand that every client's situation is unique, and I approach each case with a personalized and practical approach. My primary goal is to help my clients achieve their desired outcome while minimizing the emotional and financial toll that legal battles can take.
